Student Support

Government Accreditation
Courses are accredited through the Vocational Education and Training authority as nationally recognized training programs. All courses are in line with the National Training Package which provides national competency standards, qualifications and assessment guidelines.

Scope of Registration
Central Training is a registered training organisation with the Office of Training and Tertiary Education and have the authority to deliver programs and certificates in the following areas:
Hospitality
Sports and Recreation
Commercial Cookery
Retail

Application & Selection Criteria
Participant will be selected for programs that will assist them in gaining knowledge, skills and experience.

Selection processes are fair and equitable. Applicant selection processes are non-discriminating.

Admission Requirements
Students must be 18yrs or older to enrol in both Operate a Bar and the Attend Gaming Machines Course.

Academic Staff
Central Training ensures excellence in training standards through its selection of highly qualified and experienced training staff who are committed to raising the standards of Hospitality service.

All trainers have extensive hospitality industry experience as well as the appropriate teaching qualifications.

Assessment
Assessment for all subjects is compulsory
Subjects are assessed by way of assignments and/or visual examinations. Details of assessment procedures are provided with your course material
If you fail an assignment you will be permitted to revise and re-submit your assignment until a satisfactory assessment has been achieved. If failure in an examination occurs, you may re-sit the examination
A Nationally Accredited Certificate and an official Statement of Results will be awarded on successful completion of all subjects within a course

Appeals or Complaints

Central Training deals with any appeal or complaints promptly and systematically. Each appeal or grievance is recorded in writing with details of the process undertaken to resolve the case and its outcome. Appeals and complaints must be made using the relevant form available from Central Training's administration office.

Student Records
In compliance with the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000, the information requested by Central Training during the registration process will be used for purposes associated with a student's enrolment only. For the purpose of administration and monitoring, Central Training will maintain the confidentiality of clients' records through quality hard copy records stored in a secured office in lockable files. Electronic files will be kept and for audit purposes, statistical data returns will be recorded on the Tertiary Enrolment Database which is AVETMISS compliant.

Any change of address, phone number or other relevant information must be given to the Training Administrator so that all student records remain up-to-date and accurate.

Course Material and Timetable
Central Training reserves the right to substitute or credit any textbooks or course materials at any time, without notice, should they become unavailable, or go out of print.
Central Training reserves the right to amend timetables where it would be advantageous for student learning.

Please Note: It is the student's responsibility to ensure all Central Training Policies are clearly understood.
